We're searching for a dynamic Photography Supervisor to be a cornerstone of our operations. In this role, you'll lead a team of passionate photographers, guiding them to capture the cherished moments of childhood. Your leadership will ensure every customer receives an amazing portrait and an unforgettable experience. Driven by a deep passion for photography, you'll be a key player in a thriving business, making an impact one smile at a time.
Leadership
Provides supervisory responsibilities to a subset of the photography team. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, recruiting, hiring, onboarding, new hire training, ongoing coaching, development and training of team including seasonal reviews and performance management.
- Field visits - periodically visits jobs to observe and coach photographers to improve
- Provide leadership to the team through team meetings, 1 on 1 meetings and setting a positive example.
- Provide clear expectations to team members and hold them accountable in a positive way. Setting an example to the team through holding yourself to high expectations and personal accountability.
- Attends meetings with leadership to discuss strategy, current results, and determine any changes necessary to drive the business forward.
- Responsible for the labor spending and productivity of assigned team.
- Prepare and conduct performance reviews for team members.
- Create a customer centric culture and provide ongoing customer service training to all team members
Account Management and Sales
- Act as a point of contact for school accounts, ensuring strong, productive relationships.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for expanding services within existing accounts and engaging new school clients.
- Negotiate contracts and close agreements
- Collaborate with the photography and operations teams to ensure client needs are met with a high standard of excellence and timeliness.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve assigned revenue and customer retention goals.
Equipment Support
Responsible for equipment management, including inventory and maintenance.
- Oversee seasonal distribution and collection of equipment
- Provide insight on seasonal photography sets, equipment and testing.
Scheduling
Responsible for properly scheduling team members for onsite photography events by matching skills, location and productivity.
- Ongoing review of employees' time records to ensure accuracy through our payroll systems.
The Skills You’ll Bring
- Proven ability to lead and effectively manage a team.
- Knowledge of photography equipment.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel with occasional overnight stays.
- Accessibility to reliable insured transportation to reach assigned locations. Vehicle insurance must be current and in compliance with provincial law.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
REQUIREMENTS
- 18 years of age or older
- Proven ability to lead and effectively manage a team
- US Driver’s License
- Ability to lift and operate equipment - up to 40 lbs.

- Strong leadership, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
